I can't believe that it is already almost May! This year is flying by. The STAAR tests are in a couple of weeks. As we start to ramp up for the STAAR test, our team is flexing our students to different rooms so that they receive the best support they can prior to the test. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you!

Here is a list of things you should working on with your child at home:
*Make sure your child reads 20 minutes a night *Practice multiplication facts so that they can quickly recall their facts without using their fingers. *Give them a hand full of coins and bills, and make them tell you how much money they have. *Frequently ask them what time it is, and give them an analogue clock to tell the time. *Practice skip counting by different numbers. Challenge them by starting with a different number (For example- Skip count by 5 starting with 3- 3, 8, 13, 18, etc...) *Let them help you cook using a recipe. Point out the fractions that they are using. *Have them keep a journal of their daily activities. Make sure they are writing in complete sentences.
Thank you for all of your help and support for making your child's third grade year successful.
